হাওড়া স্টেশনে নারীপাচার চক্রের প্রচেষ্টা।
দ্রুত তদন্তে নেমে হাওড়া জিআরপি থানা গ্রেফতার করলো দুই পাচারকারীকেই। হাওড়া সিজেএম আদালতে ধৃতদের পাঠিয়ে শনাক্তকরণ প্যারেড-এর আবেদন রাখলো পুলিশ।
One lady named Manjura Bibi of Mothabari, District - Malda came to Howrah GRP Thana yesterday and complained that on 25th March her daughter aged 16, was waiting at Howrah station with her friends to catch the return train to Malda.
There an unknown male introduced himself as a police officer near the drinking water tank of Howrah station old complex and convinced her to go with him by threatening to arrest her on some pretext and took her through the subway of Howrah station by walking. They put her in a taxi where another unknown male was already present and they both took her to an unknown place and tried to take her to some place in order to sell her for money.
Realising that both the youngmen were criminals and not police as claimed, she started screaming to which the local people started gathering. Unable to find any way out, the unidentified people left her on the road and fled.
Thereafter, she somehow reached Howrah station with the help of the local people there. Howrah GRPS team rescued her and sent her to Liluah home.
Based on the written complaint, a specific case was started at Howrah GRP Thana under relevant sections of law.
The case was immediately taken up. The investigation team started searching for the miscreants and ultimately was able to catch the culprits within 24 hours.
Name of the two persons are:-
1. Noor Alam Sk(21) of Domkal, Murshidabad &
2. Mizarul Mondol (26) of Ashoknagar Dist North 24 pgs.
They have been arrested and forwarded to CJM, Howrah Court with a prayer for Test Identification Parade.
SRP Howrah Indrajit Basu has instructed all officers in his area to remain vigilant and take immediate action against any efforts related to such human trafficking.
