On 17.03.2026 a Police team of Bardhaman GRP Thana has recovered one minor girl who was missing from home. 
Earlier iformation was received from a person of Jamalpur PS under Purba Bardhaman district regarding the missing of a 14-year-old female child who had left home without informing her family. Photographs and other relevant details of the child were also shared.
The above information was promptly disseminated to the on-duty GRP teams. During inspection the team successfully recovered the child from inside a local train compartment at Burdwan Railway Station.
Upon recovery, the child disclosed her identity. It was learnt that her home is at Jamalpur, District – Purba Bardhaman. She also provided her father’s mobile number.
Accordingly, her father was contacted.
After a few hours, the family members arrived at the PS along with relevant documents. After proper verification, the child was handed over to her legal guardian.
