আজ , ১৫ই মার্চ ২০২৬ তারিখে বিকেলে, আসানসোল জিআরপি থানার (হাওড়া জিআরপি জেলা) পুলিশ সিতারামপুর রেল স্টেশনে একটি মেয়েদের ব্যাগ উদ্ধার করেছে। ব্যাগটিতে চার জোড়া রুপার পায়েল, একটি সোনার মঙ্গলসূত্র, একটি সোনার হার, দুই জোড়া সোনার কানের দুল, একটি হীরা খচিত সোনার নাকফুল, একটি রুপার বিছিয়া এবং অন্যান্য সামগ্রী ছিল। আজই ব্যাগটি এর প্রকৃত মালিকদের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে।

Today i.e. 15.03.2026 at about 18.00 hrs, during daily Platform (PF) round duty, On-duty C/997 Anish Kumar Singh and CV/22 Prasun Chattaraj noticed one unauthorised ladies bag lying unattended at Platform No. 3 at Sitarampur Railway Station.

They immediately made enquiries with the available passengers and public present nearby regarding the ownership of the said bag, but no claimant could be found at that time. Thereafter, they brought the said bag safely to Sitarampur RPIC for further necessary action.Subsequently, contact was established with the complainant/owner namely Swapan Kumar Tiwary S/o- Anrej Tiwary of Madhopur, PS-Deori, PO-Nayasantho, Dist-Girideah, JHK of the bag and he was instructed to come to the Post for identification and verification.

Accordingly, the complainant appeared at Sitarampur RPIC and after proper verification and identification, the recovered bag was handed over to him, which was found  containing the following articles: 

(1) Four Sets of Silver Payel. 

(2) One Gold Mangal Sutra. 

(3) One Gold Necklace. 

(4) Two Pieces Gold Ear Rings. 

(5) One Gold Nose Pin fitted with Diamond. 

(6) One silver Bitchia and other items. 

The entire proceedings were completed after proper verification.
