Yesterday (04.03.2026) information regarding missing of two minor girls from Kaliachak Police Station was received by GRP. Accordingly all GRP Thanas were alerted. The description of the said two minor missing girls along with photographs and other descriptions were circulated.

During hours of the Night duty the police team of Katwa GRP Thana led by Sub-Inspector Supriya Mukherjee along with Lady Constable Rekha Besra and Constable Provash Porel, while searching the express trains and platform areas, found the missing girls in the general compartment of Train No. 13034 DN Katihar Express.

The two minor girls above were recovered after proper verifications with the photographs provided by Kaliachak PS. Afterwards, said two minor girls were brought to Katwa GRPS for safe custody.

On asking they disclosed their identity.

Today (05.03.2026) morning, a team from Kaliachak Thana along with the family member of Victim girls came at Katwa GRPS and submitted requisition for custody regarding the VGs and after proper verification and following all necessary procedures the said minor girls were handed over to police team of Kaliachak Thana. along with her family member for safe custody in c/w with above noted case.
