গতকাল বোলপুর রেলস্টেশনে আপ কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেনের কামরায় ছিনতাই। জি আর পি-র তৎপরতায় বিকেলের মধ্যেই প্রান্তিক স্টেশন থেকে ছিনতাইকারীসহ উদ্ধার হলো টাকা।

Yesterday a case of theft was started at Sainthia GRP Thana under Howrah GRP District over complaint from one Shree Chandan Rabidas (46y) of PS- Paikar, Dist-Birbhum to the effect that yesterday when he came to Bolpur Rail Station with cash Rs-50000/- (Fifty Thousands) and boarded UP Kanchanganja Express in general compartment, some unknown miscreants stole the cash from his pocket.

Immediately after receiving the information the GRP personnel were alerted on other Railstations and on same day as per source information, one suspect was detained at Prantik Railstation. The person was identified as Shyamal Baidya (51) Mogra, Dist- Hooghly.

He was searched and an amount of stolen cash Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) was recovered from his possession.

During interrogation, he confessed to have committed the crime at Bolpur Railstation in the morning.

Subsequently, he was arrested in connection with the case.

The accused is being forwarded with a prayer to produce him for Test Identification Parade before the Ld ACJM, Rampurhat Court.
