জি আর পি-র তৎপরতায় ছিনতাই যাওয়া সোনার হার ফিরে পেলেন রানিগঞ্জের মহিলা। গত নভেম্বরে রানিগঞ্জ রেলস্টেশনে ঘটে এই ছিনতাইয়ের ঘটনা। বর্ধমান রেলস্টেশনে একই দিনে উদ্ধার হয় সোনার গয়নাটি। আদালতের অনুমতিক্রমে আজ তা ফিরিয়ে দেয় জি আর পি। 

     Last November a case of snatching of a Gold chain was started at Andal GRP Thana over a complaint of a sixty-year old lady named Smt Rekharani Mandal of Girjapara, Raiganj. The incident had happened at Raniganj Railstation when the lady was about to board Down Asansol-Bardhaman Local train to reach Durgapur.
Ajoy Mazumder, in-charge of Raniganj GRPP, Andal GRPS took up its investigation.
     However, on the same day the said Gold chain of one "bhori" was recovered at Bardhaman Railstation by one Lady Sub-Inspector of Police named Sudeshna Sahu and her team of Bardhaman GRP Thana, when they caught two males moving suspiciously on the platform and by checking them found the Gold chain. A separate case was started at Bardhaman GRP Thana also.

     The arrested persons were:
     1.Arup Mondal (30) and 
     2. Saifuddin Sk@Biddya (33).

     The said gold chain was later identified by the victim lady. The whole incident has been confessed by the arrested persons during their remand period.

     Today after completing legal formalities and with due approval of the Ld Court of Law, the 18 inch Gold-chain was returned to its owner. The lady was visibly happy with the whole Police team of both Andal and Bardhaman GRP Thanas of Howrah GRP District.
